I don't know if this is a common thing or not, but I have this tendency to pigeonhole and put the people I know and the friends I've made into different classifications based on how I've gotten to know them. There are work friends, college friends, blogging friends, Scrabble friends, and so forth. These are just a few categories... there are numerous others. I suppose I see it as different spheres of influence, different contexts. And though it's not often these spheres interact, it is happening a lot more than it used to.
