Here's an odd thing — I got a nosebleed today. Not just one, but two, within a few hours of each other. I've never had a nosebleed before. After the second one, I got extremely faint and cold, and had to get off my feet before falling over. Fortunately I was already at home and not on the road driving.
A little family history... both my dad and my brother are prone to fainting at the sight of blood. They both, in fact, have issues with bodily damage in general. Dad cut himself at work one day — a pretty deep cut which required stitches — and it was a battle to keep him conscious, from what I understand, despite it being nothing more than a flesh wound. Ryan has gotten faint from the mere sight of needles, even those intended for Puddie, our long gone cat, and he nearly passed out when he had a cast removed in third grade. Me, on the other hand... that kind of thing has never really bothered me. And since I'm not prone to that, I don't think my bleeding incidents caused me to feel faint today. It felt like a completely physical sensation.
Maybe I should say feels like. It's still ongoing a little bit, the faintness, coming and going in waves. I think it's going to be an early night for me tonight. Blood coming out of my nose and me almost passing out is just too weird.
